Who we are

Yoritage runs this website and the Yoritage app. You can reach us at [email protected].

What we collect, and why

Waiting list. Your email address, the date you joined and, if there is one, the link that brought you here. We use it to email you when Yoritage launches and to share occasional news. We rely on your consent.

Contact and partnership forms. Your name, email, organisation (if you give it) and message, so we can reply. We rely on our legitimate interest in answering you.

Corrections sent from the app. Your message and, if you give it, your email address, so we can check and reply.

Accounts in the app. If you create one, your email address (and, if you sign in with Google, the name and profile picture Google shares) and a copy of your passport (stamps, saved places, notes, day out, memberships and quiz answers), so they appear on every device. These are stored with our database provider, Supabase. You can delete them at any time from the app.

Where it's kept

Website data is processed by Cloudflare, which hosts Yoritage. App account data is stored with Supabase. These providers process information to provide the services Yoritage uses. Our fonts are served by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when a page loads. If you set your home by postcode in the app, the postcode is looked up with postcodes.io; we keep only the first half of it and an approximate location. When you plan a trip, the map positions of your stops (and your rounded home area, if set) are sent to the OpenStreetMap routing service (OSRM) to work out drive times, and the position of each day's first stop is sent to Open-Meteo for the weather forecast.

At present, Yoritage does not sell personal data or display advertising. We may review how the service is funded as it develops. If we introduce advertising or change how personal data is used, we will update this notice to explain what has changed. The website does not currently use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

How long

Waiting list details until you unsubscribe or the list is no longer needed after launch. Messages for up to two years. Account data until you delete it.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent, by emailing [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
